Mental Health Benefits

Every gardener knows that working with plants can provide enormous mental health benefits as it can provide a connection to living beings that are real & separate from every day human issues. FLECLing takes that one step further by providing connection to entire natural systems that our minds & bodies are co-evolved to exist in. Throughout almost our entire evolutionary history we evolved to live in our natural environment, with very limited areas that were under human control. Modern society makes connections to these systems rare & difficult as now to connect with natural environments one often has to take a journey well beyond the home. Most plants in our neighborhoods are under such strict control that little natural system function remains. FLECLing creates whole living systems like those we evolved to have in our everyday life. Our minds evolved observing such dynamic living systems & being able to see parts of nature that are under less human control provides balance & perspective, especially in a world where such natural experiences of connection are increasingly rare. Being able to regularly share such experiences with others in our communities without having to go on a long arduous journey brings greater peace & harmony into our lives!
