Florida Ecologically Centered Landscaping (FLECL) intends to be a source for gathering communities of Floridians who want to nurture ecologically beneficial landscapes in their communities. FLECL hopes to share knowledge from citizens and scientists who desire to work with the ecology of Florida to nurture sustainable native plant communities in their yard. FLECL differs from most other landscaping practices as techniques are centered on ecological principles and understanding. As nature is diverse and variable, FLECL takes a flexible approach with the idea of adapting practices that best allow native plant communities to flourish as they would in undisturbed natural settings. FLECL takes a learning approach & hopes to evolve through shared lessons learned & shared by all who share the desire to create beneficial, sustainable native plant communities in our communities. FLECL hopes to form local DIY (do it yourself) communities of people who share knowledge, seeds, seedlings and love for natural Florida!
